Unfortunately, clicking Go to try out the design, as soon as we go into Longman's we find a misprint: Thomas Moore's poetry bestseller was called Laila Rooke, not Leila Rooke. (It really was a bestseller, too: Longman paid him three thousand pounds for the copyright.)In traditional IF design systems, that mistake would be so small that it would be too much nuisance to fix at once: we would probably make a note to fix it later instead. But here all we need do is retype Leila as Laila, and click the Replay button, which results in the image to the right.
Whereas the Go button translates the source and starts it running, Replay goes on to run through all the commands typed into the game, thus automatically returning it to the same place where it was left: so here we are back in Longman's with the misprint fixed. (Note that the command EAST is in blue italics, which is a visual aid to show that it was keyed in automatically by Inform rather than by hand.)

A more serious mistake in the source can make it impossible for Inform to translate into a working game. If so, the Go button is unable to start the game running, so rather than switching the right-hand panel to Game, it switches to Errors, where any problem messages are visible.Inform can generate several hundred different Problem messages, many of which adapt according to contextual guesses as to what might have been intended, give examples of correct and incorrect usage, and so on - though this one is simple enough.
Clicking on the orange-arrowed disc switches the opposite panel back to the Source (if it isn't showing that already) and jumps through it to put the cursor at the sentence in question.
